New Delhi: The first match of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Australia is being played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. During this match, Pakistan cricket team skipper Babar Azam achieved an amazing feat. He became the first Asian batter to score the fastest 4000 runs in One Day International cricket.

The star batter surpassed Virat Kohli in this elite list. Apart from this, Babar has become the fastest batter to score 4000 One Day International runs for Pakistan.






As soon as Babar scored his 15th run in the first ODI against Australia, he scored 4000 runs in One Day International cricket. He also became the second batter in the world to score the quickest 4000 runs in One Day International cricket. Babar Azam achieved this feat in his 82nd ODI innings.


South African opener Hashim Amla still holds the world record for scoring the fastest 4000 runs in One Day International cricket.

Virat Kohli was so far the fastest Asian batter to score 4000 ODI runs. He has attained this feat in 93 ODI innings.


Babar succeeded in achieving this feat by playing 9 ODI innings less than Virat.
