It is easy to assume that the information is factually correct. However, wrestler's husband Somvir Rathee has revealed the truth behind the viral post in a strongly-worded post in Hindi on X.

"Vinesh Phogat has not received any money from the following organizations, businessmen, companies and parties. All of you are our well-wishers, please do not spread false news. This will not only harm us but will also harm social values. This is just a means to gain cheap popularity," Rathee tweeted.






Vinesh Phogat Disqualified From Paris Olympics 2024


Notably, Vinesh had assured India of a medal in the Women's 50 kg freestyle wrestling in Paris Olympics 2024. However, she was disqualified after being found 100 grams overweight in the morning of her gold medal bout, forcing her to return home empty handed.

She landed in India a day after her plea to be demanded a joint-silver medal was dismissed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). However, she received a grand welcome at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi with a felicitation ceremony scheduled for her late on Saturday night at her native village in Balali.
