Vinesh Phogat Gets Bundle Of 500-Rupee Notes From Brother On Rakhi, Jokes 'Puri Zindagi Mein Itna Hi Kamaya Hai' | WATCH VIDEO
Vinesh Phogat's brother Harvinder Phogat handed her a bundle of Rs 500 notes but the wrestler jokingly said that it was his lifelong earnings that he has handed her over on Raksha Bandhan.
Vinesh Phogat, who narrowly missed out on a medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 after being disqualified from the Women's 50 kg freestyle event ahead of the gold medal bout because of being overweight at the time of weight-in by 100 grams, celebrated Rakhsha Bandhan with her brother.
While Vinesh tied the Rakhi to her brother Harvinder Phogat, the brother and sister shared a light moment where the sister could be seen joking that the bundle of Rs 500 notes that his brother gave him as a gift is his lifetime earnings which has given to her. Notably, Vinesh returned to India on August 17, receiving a grand welcome at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in New Delhi.
Notably, after her Paris heartbreak, Vinesh had filed an official appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) but her plea was dismissed. She returned to India a day later. It took Vinesh over 12 hours from the IGI Airport to reach her native village of Balali.
