Tokyo Olympics 2020 Opening Ceremony Live Streaming: With no official confirmation about its cancellation due to Coronavirus pandemic, the Olympics Games - world's biggest sporting extravaganza - is all set to begin on July 23 (Friday). 

Although it is 2021, the organisers have decided to retain its official name Tokyo Olympics 2020 as the mega event was postponed due to Covid-19 outbreak last year.

The rescheduled event will kickstart with a mega opening ceremony that will be held at the newly constructed Japan National Stadium on Friday. 

The Tokyo Olympics 2020 is scheduled to go on from July 23 to August 8 with the participation of around 11,000 athletes from as many as 206 countries. The athletes will compete for 339 gold medals across 33 categories of sports.

28 members, including six officials and 22 athletes, of the Indian contingent, will participate in the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics on Friday after the organisers suggested restricting the number of athletes attending the curtain-raiser due to the pandemic.

Overall, 127-member Indian contingent will enter the Tokyo Olympic Games with soaring expectations of returning with their best medal haul ever. 

When To Watch Tokyo Olympics 2021 Opening Ceremony:

The opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 will be held at the National Stadium in Tokyo. The opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics will commence at 8 pm local time or 4:30 pm Indian Standard Time (IST) on July 23, 2021.

Where To Watch Tokyo Olympics 2021 Opening Ceremony:

Sony Sports Network has bought the exclusive rights to telecast all events of the Tokyo Olympics 2020, including the opening ceremony, in India. Channels such as Sony TEN 1 and Sony TEN 2 will broadcast the event with English commentary, while Sony TEN 3 will have Hindi commentary.
