The gold medal was won by Korea's Oh Ye Jin with an Olympic record score of 243.2. The silver also went to Korea, with Kim Yeji scoring 241.3. Manu Bhaker secured the bronze with a final score of 221.7.
Bhaker made it to the finals of women's 10 meter air pistol event by finishing third in the qualifying round with a total score of 580 points from 60 shots. In the qualifying round, her series scores were: 97 in the first, 97 in the second, 98 in the third, 96 in the fourth, 96 in the fifth, and 96 in the sixth.
