Paris Olympics 2024, Day 1: It was a memorable day for the Indian faithful across different sporting events at Paris Olympics 2024, as team India registered emphatic victories in Badminton, Boxing, Shooting, and Hockey. Manu Bhaker became the first shooter from the country to qualify into the final, as she will be competing in the final of the Women's 10m Air Pistol Event.

India showed their domination in Badminton as well, as Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy won in straight games to kickoff their group campaign on a positive note.

Hockey produced immense entertainment on Day 1, as India scripted a comeback 3-2 win against New Zealand to start their group stage campaign with a win.

In Boxing, Preeti Pawar punched above her competition, as she storms into the Round of 16 after an emphatic win in Round of 32 on Saturday.
