Mirabai Chanu Birthday: Mirabai Chanu, who made history by winning a silver medal for the country in weightlifting on the first day of the Tokyo Olympics, celebrated her birthday with family with great fanfare on Sunday. Chanu has stayed away from her family for a long time in the last five years due to preparations for the Tokyo Olympics. She was happy as she was able to celebrate her birthday with her family after a long time. She said that her Olympic medal win has made her birthday celebration extra special.

Silver girl Mirabai posted a picture of her birthday celebration with her family on Twitter. She wrote, "It's nice to celebrate your birthday with the family after a long time. By winning a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics, I have won my biggest prize, which has made my birthday even more special. Thank you all for your prayers and love."

To get to this point she has made a lot of sacrifices 

Mirabai Chanu has said, "To be a big player or achieve something big, you have to make sacrifices. I have made many sacrifices." "I was extremely disappointed with the defeat at the Rio Olympics. After that I started preparing for the World Championships in 2017. Due to this, I could not even attend my sister's wedding that year."

Chanu, 26, won the first medal for India at the Tokyo Olympics, which ended yesterday. She won the silver medal in the 49 kg category of women's weightlifting. Chanu won the silver medal by lifting a total weight of 202 kg, (87kg in snatch and 115kg in clean and jerk) at the event. Before Chanu, Karnam Malleswari won a bronze medal in weightlifting events at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
