Not many Indians knew how to correctly pronounce the 'Chateauroux' Shooting Centre but an Indian queen reigned supreme at the venue, nearly 3 hours away from Paris, to make it a very special place in the history of Indian sports. Even some of India's gratest sportspersons- the likes of PV Sindhu and Sushil Kumar required two Olympics to win their second individual Olympic medal but a certain Manu Bhaker needed only a few days to win two Olympic Bronzes, a rare first in Indian sporting folklore.

At 22, Manu Bhaker has the potential to go down as perhaps the most decorated Olympian ever and add many more medals at international competitions for India. However, when the ace shooter was welcomed by Indian journalists, she was barraged by questions that were found by netizens to be 'disgusting'. It was similar to the treatement Neeraj Chopra received when he returned to India after winning an unprecedented Olympic Gold medal in Tokyo.

In a viral video, a journalist can be seen making a problematic statement as he tells Manu Bhaker 'You Are One Of The Most Attractive Females' on air, in a bid to link her up with Neeraj Chopra on the basis of a few social media videos where the two are seen chatting with each other. No wonder that the media personality has been called out and criticised by netizens.

"Horrible man. Zero etiquette," commented yet another social media user.

Neeraj Chopa Received Similar Cringe Treatement By Indian Media Post Tokyo Return

The Men's Javelin thrower who won a silver medal in Paris Olympics 2024 to go with his gold in Tokyo, Neeraj had received a similar cringe treatment by Indian media post his return from Tokyo. Neeraj was asked questions about his sex life, about his dating life and bizarre questions that revolved around everything else but his sporting achievement.

Neeraj bettered his Tokyo throw of 87.58 metres with a best throw of 89.45 metres in Paris but had to settle for a silver with Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem creating an Olympic record with a best throw of 92.97 metres to bag the gold.
