New Delhi: Nikhat Zareen bagged her second World Title in the Women's World Boxing Championships when she beat Nguyen Thi Tam of Vietnam in the 50 kg finale at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall in the National Capital on Sunday.

Nikhat won by a unanimous 5-0 verdict to help India bag their third gold medal in this edition of the tournament with Nitu Ghanghas and Saweety Boora having already made India proud by taking the top position on the podium in the 48 kg and 81 kg category respectively.

The 26-year-old continued her dominant run in the competition and after having defeated Colombia's Ingrit Valencia of Colombia 5-0, she excelled in the finale beating a two-time Asian Games champion, dominating from the first round. Even though, she received a warning in the second round for keeping her head low, not much damage was done eventually with the Indian coming out on top.
