After Joe Root, who has scored 549 runs in the ongoing 2019 World Cup, Bairstow will be the second England batsman to score at least 500 runs in a single CWC season. Joe Root (759 runs in 15 ODI innings) is 48 runs away from becoming  the highest  ODI run-scorer as an England batsman in a season. Liam Plunkett needs two more wickets (198 wickets) to complete his 200 international wickets. England all-rounder Ben Stokes (5,982 runs) needs 18 runs to complete his 6,000 international runs. Leg-spinner Adil Rashid (11 wickets) is three wickets away to become the most successful spinner for England at the Cricket World Cup. The current record is held by the off-spinners Eddie Hemmings and Vic Marks (13 CWC wickets each ).
