The Anfield based club also achieved record to sorts to have won the league with seven games to spare. They went past the record held by Manchester United (2000-2001) and Manchester City (2017-18), both of which won the EPL with five games to spare in the season.

Much of Liverpool's revival of fortunes has been credited to their German coach Jurgen Klopp, who has been credited to be their ace strategist in rekindling the much famed 'Old Flame' at Anfield.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Liverpool coach Klopp described winning the title as "absolutely incredible."
"I have no words. It's unbelievable. Much more than I ever thought would be possible," he said. "Becoming champions with this club is absolutely incredible. It is an incredible achievement of my players ... and a pure joy for me to coach them."

Liverpool went one better than their last performance which saw them finishing second behind Manchester City. The 'Reds' ended last season with nine consecutive league wins and, after claiming the Champions League, began the new season in an all conquering fashion to notch up a spree of wins and leave all of their rivals to fight for the second place.
Liverpool FC was a dominant force in England's top flight soccer in the 70s and 80s, winning league titles on 10 occasions in England's top club division football league. .In the mid 90s, with the emergence of Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City who went onto become the powerhouses of English soccer in the next two decades, Liverpool faced some stiff competition from formidable opponents and could not quite produce the same magic they did despite having some of the best players in the league.
