New Delhi: Popular TV actress Ekta Kaul, who is known for playing the role of Riya Mathur in Star Plus’ ‘Mere Angne Mein’, welcomed her first child on June 4, 2020. The talented actress and her hubby Sumeet Vyas are quite excited after the arrival of their son in their lives. The new parents have named their baby boy Ved Vyas.

‘Veere Di Wedding’ actor Sumeet announced the birth of his child by sharing a cute post on Instagram. He wrote, “It’s a boy. Shall be called VED. Mamma and Daddy are acting cliché … smothering the child every few minutes.” Celebs including Manav Kaul, Gajraj Rao, Nimrat Kaur commented on the post and congratulated the new daddy and mommy.



Sumeet has shared an adorable photo of his wife Ekta and son Ved on social media along with a heartfelt post. He praised his ladylove and called her the most ‘Awesome Mommy’ he has seen after his mother.

“Don’t think i can ever take any credit if he turns out to be Awesome. I’m sure he will, coz she definitely is the most Awesome Mommy I’ve seen, after mine... They’re already a team and I’m just a comic relief in their routine... #EktaMaa #vedvyas,” the caption for the post read.

Ekta Kaul and Sumeet Vyas got married on September 15, 2018 . The actress made her small screen debut with Zee TV’s ‘Rab Se Sona Ishq’. She has also worked in shows like ‘Bade Ache Lagta Hain’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja 6’.
