Virat Kohli batter came up to meet his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma and even touched his feet before the DC vs RCB match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
It was a homecoming for Virat Kohli as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) took on Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Saturday (May 6). Prior to what is match number 50 of the tournament, Kohli got a chance to meet his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma who was also present at the venue.
The right-handed batter came to meet him and even touched his feet. The video of the heartwarming moment between the coach and his disciple was captured on camera. A clip of their interaction was shared by IPL's social media handle and in no time it went viral on social media.

Kohli has been in great form in IPL 2023 and continued the same in the ongoing DC vs RCB match. He brought up his sixth half-century of the season in the match against Delhi. This was his second successive fifty vs DC in this league after he was adjudged the Player of the Match for his knock in the reverse fixture. Meanwhile, Kohli also achieved a massive milestone during his innings. He became the first player in the world to cross the 7000-run mark in IPL.
Kohli is also one of the leading run-getters this season, having scored 394 from 10 innings with a best of an unbeatean 82. He is currently the fourth highest leading run-scorer in this edition a list which is being led by his captain and opening partner Faf du Plessis who has 498 runs from 10 innings with a highest score of 84. However, there is a difference between the strike rates of Kohli and Du Plesiss with the South African striking at 160.12 and the ex-India captain strike rate reading 136.33. On Saturday, Kohli scored runs at a strike rate of 119.56.
