Virat Kohli Comes Up With Heartwarming Post For The Person Who Helped Him Wear Indian Jersey

Virat Kohli needs no introduction. He is regarded as one of the greatest cricketers in the history of cricket. Be it Test, ODI, or shortest format of the game, the former India skipper has aced it all. The stylish batter is currently taking part in the 2023 edition of the IPL and is representing Royal Challengers Bangalore.  With 420 runs in 11 games, Virat is fifth in the Orange Cap race of IPL 2023.

Also, he is the second-highest run-getter this season for RCB after skipper Faf du Plessis who is ahead of him in the Orange Cap race. Faf has scored  576 runs in 11 games at an average of 57.60 and a strike rate of 157.80 strike rate.

The Delhi-based batter will be looking to continue his form in the upcoming WTC Final and ODI World Cup. Rohit Sharma’s Indian team will be playing against Australia in the World Test Championship final, starting from June 7 onwards.

The 34-year-old came up with an Instagram post to pay tribute to his childhood coach.

"For some, sport will always come second so I feel it’s very important to celebrate those who believed in you from day one. I am forever grateful to Rajkumar sir who has not just been a coach to me, but also a mentor who has supported me throughout my journey. I was just a boy who dared to dream but it was your belief that helped me don the Indian jersey 15 years ago", Kohli wrote.

"For every bit of advice, every batting lesson, every smack on my head, every pat on my back, and for carrying my dream as your own, I want to thank you", he added.
