South Africa's U-19 batsman, Dewald Brevis has been picked by the Mumbai Indians at the Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction 2022. He was picked by MI at 3 crore rupees in the recently concluded auction in Bengaluru.
Brevis scored 506 runs at an average of 84.33. He also smashed two hundreds and three fifties in just six games at the U-19 World Cup 2022.
The 18-year-old is named as 'Baby AB' by fans around the world for his unique batting style. The way Brevis' feet move when he steps out is a reminiscence of AB De Villiers' batting.
