Sreesanth Makes Shocking Revelation About Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Says 'They Have To Pay A Lot Of Money'

Sreesanth Makes Shocking Revelation: The Kerala Express made a massive revelation about a now defunct Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kochi Tuskers Kerala on a podcast.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is often regarded as one the most lucrative cricket leagues in the world. While cricketers often get hefty paycheques in this cash-rich league, the reality may not be as glamarous and beautiful as what it seems at the outset. And a similar example has come to the light with former India cricketer S Sreesanth talking about a financial due case from the past. Sreesanth, who was part of the Kochi Tuskers Kerala IPL side, revealed that the now-defunct team is yet to pay huge sums of amounts to cricketers.

In a massive revelation, the ex-India speedster and IPL star disclosed that several cricketers including some of the legends of the game like Mahela Jayawardene and Muttiah Muralitharan are yet to receive the sum of money that they were promised by the team. Even though the franchise has given repeated assurances, the players have still not received their dues.

"They have to pay a lot of money. You should get Muralitharan sir (Muttiah Muralitharan), you should get Mahela (Jayawardene) and in your show they will only tell you no one has got (money)," Sreesanth said on The Ranveer Show Podcast while speaking to Ranveer Allahbadia.

Sreesanth also revealed that while while the team was meant to last three years, it's rather sudden dissolution meant the financial repercussions had to be borne by the cricketing fraternity as well.

"I urge you all, BCCI must have paid you by now. Please honour your commitments to us, even if it means paying with an 18% interest rate annually. The team was meant to last three years, but it was terminated after just one year. I believe this issue deserves more attention," the 41-year-old said.
