Rohit Sharma to part ways with Mumbai Indians ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction?

In an unexpected and shocking move, Mumbai Indians (MI) removed Rohit Sharma from the captaincy before the start of this year's IPL season, appointing all-rounder Hardik Pandya as his successor. Speculation is now growing that Rohit may not be part of the MI team in the upcoming season.

While neither Rohit nor Mumbai Indians has made an official statement, reports suggest that the senior batter is likely to leave the franchise.

Speculation points to a potential move to Delhi Capitals (DC) or maybe even Gujarat Titans (GT).

Fans will have to wait to see if Rohit Sharma, who led Mumbai to five IPL titles, will stay with the franchise or join Delhi Capitals to potentially guide them to their first championship. Alternatively, he might take the helm of two-time IPL finalists Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025.
