Although Rohit Sharma may not be able to make it in time for Australia series, the batsman is making sure to hit the pitch again with his net practice soon after the team was announced.

The defending champions Mumbai Indian took to the micro-blogging site to share images of the captain saying, 'Just what we love to see! Hitman in action at today’s training'.

In one of the images, the Mumbai Indian captain can be seen carrying a couple of bats to the centre while in the second image, he can be seen attempting to hit the ball out of the park. As per the PTI report, Rohit might play for Mumbai Indians against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 3 November, which is the last of the league games before the start of playoffs.

However, the BCCI Medical Team will continue to monitor the progress of Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma. In Rohit’s absence, the in-form KL Rahul will be Virat Kohli’s deputy in the white ball teams and is also back in the Test squad after a considerable period of time.

The player had suffered the hamstring injury in the match against Kings XI Punjab on October 18 which they had lost after playing out 2 Super Overs in Dubai. The chances of the Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma joining back the team became stronger as the player resumed training with the squad on Monday.

Sharma missed the last two games as a result of a hamstring injury in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2020. In their match, MI lost against Rajasthan Royals after beating Chennai Super Kings before that in Rohit's absence. All-rounder Kieron Pollard led the team in the previous two games.

The four-time champions will next be seen in action against Bangalore in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
