LSG's Welcome Hoardings For MS Dhoni On Lucknow Streets Go Viral

"We want MS Dhoni to hit a six in the final ball of the match, but when CSK is chasing 12 runs," read one of the hoardings on the streets of Lucknow before the LSG bs CSK IPL 2024 match on April 19.

MS Dhoni is one of the most loved cricketers in India. Even though he plies his trade for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) but cricket fans in India, irrespective of their loyalty to an IPL franchise, want him to see him do well, especially as the ex-India player is in the twilight of his career at 42. Dhoni has already retired from international cricket and as he is struggling with a leg injury this season, having handed over the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad before IPL 2024 and a mega auction set to happen next year, speculations are rife that this would be his final season in the tournament.

Before CSK's away match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Friday (April 19), the Uttar Pradesh (UP)-based franchise shared pictures of hoardings on the Lucknow streets in welcome of the only captain in international cricket to have won all three white-ball ICC cricket trophies.

MS Dhoni In Good Nick In IPL 2024

Dhoni has been in good nick in IPL 2024. In the limited opportunities that he has got, he has played some great shots and has scored runs at a remarkable strike rate of over 200. Even in CSK's last match against Mumbai Indians (MI), Dhoni got to play 4 balls but made an instant impact, smashing Hardik Pandya for a hat-trick of sixes to finish with 20 not out.
