Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star Rinku Singh stunned the cricket fraternity by pulling off one of the greatest heists in T20 cricket by hammering five back-to-back sixes in last five balls to seal a sensational win for his team over defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, Sunday (April 9). Fans, current and former cricketers took to Twitter to laud Rinku for his epic knock in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The International Cricket Council (ICC) too acknowledged Rinku's heroics, comparing his innings to West Indies all-rounder Carlos Braithwaite's knock vs England in 2016 T20 World Cup Final where the batter smashed Ben Stokes for four back-to-back sixes in final over to seal a historic WC win for the Caribbean.

Ex-India star Sachin Tendulkar tweeted, saying that that KKR vs GT last-over thriller taught fans that "it is not over till it is over."

"A match that went down to the wire & continued shifting momentum. One felt Rashid's hat-trick was a game-changer but Rinku's power-hitting was something special. Enjoyed the last few moments. This amazing game continues to teach us that it's not over till it's over. #GTvKKR," tweeted Tendulkar.

Kolkata's regular skipper Shreyas Iyer, who was ruled out of IPL 2023 due to back injury, shared a story on Instagram to celebrate KKR's win.

"What a match, unbelievable. Rinku bhai kabhi na haare! (What a match, unbelievable, Rinku bhai never loses!)," said Iyer's story.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) took to Twitter to express their awe at Rinku's knock.
