Abhishek Sharma surpassed Travis Head's record for fastest fifty for SRH in Indian Premier League (IPL) in the very same IPL match against Mumbai Indians.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) star batter Abhishek Sharma scored a fiery half-century off just 16 deliveries, just minutes after his teammate Travis Head attained the fastest fifth for SRH and of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 during Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) vs Mumbai Indians (MI) Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match in Hyderabad on Wednesday (March 27).
Head, who came out to bat before Sharma, scored a half-century off just 18 deliveries against Mumbai Indians (MI).
By the virtue of his fifty, Abhishek Sharma surpassed Travis Head (18 deliveries) and David Warner's record for fastest fifty for SRH in Indian Premier League (IPL).
The seasoned Aussie opener notched up a half century off just 20 deliveries against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2015 season.
