KKR in IPL 2023: Kolkata Knight Riders' co-owner Shah Rukh Khan was in attendance when his team registered a sensational 81-run win over Royal Challengers Bangalore. Kolkata Knight Riders, playing their first home match in IPL 2023, dominated RCB last week at the ionic Eden Garden to return to winning ways after facing defeat against defending champions Gujarat Titans. To make the occasion a grand affair, Shah Rukh Khan joined KKR players for celebrations inside the dressing room.

A video went viral on social media in which Shah Rukh Khan can be seen trying to interact with Afghanistan wicketkeeper Rahmanullah Gurbaz in Persian as the duo ended up hugging each other.

Talking about CSK vs MI IPL 2023 match, Shardul Thakur starred with the bat, scoring his first IPL half-century (68 runs off 29 balls), while opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz contributed with 57 runs in just 44 balls to help Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) post 205-run target for RCB, eventually winning the game by 81 runs on Thursday (April 7). In reply to Kolkata Knight Riders' 204 run total, Royal Challengers Bangalore were able to score only 123 runs in 17.4 overs.

In bowling, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) spinners took the onus on their shoulders as Varun Chakravarthy bagged four wickets and gave away just 15 runs with young Suyash Sharma also picking 3 wickets while conceding only 30 runs. Because of the spinners, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were able to restrict Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to 123 in 17.4 overs.
