IPL 2021: The second phase of IPL will be played in UAE from September 19. Before this, there is good news for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fans. KKR's brilliant batsman, Shubman is expected to be fit by the start of the second phase of the IPL. According to a sports website report, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has received information that Shubman has been in rehab for two weeks at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and he will be released before the IPL. 


"We hope Shubman will be available for IPL," said KKR CEO Venky Mysore. If Shubman returns to the IPL, the Kolkata team will get a lot of strength. Shubman Gill had played well in the last IPL.  However, he was injured in the past and because of this, he returned from the tour of England. 


Shubman was at home after returning from England and started working out at the NCA from the starting of this month. A source said, "Shubman is not feeling pain. Gradually, his workload is increasing and he is also doing jogging for two or three days a week. We are sure that he will be fit before the IPL."




KKR is planning to leave for Abu Dhabi on August 27. Shubman may not be ready to go with the team this month, but he may join the team in the first week of September. The second phase of IPL will begin on September 19. Chennai and Mumbai teams have reached UAE for IPL. Gradually, Teams are leaving for UAE. 


Last Tuesday, the BCCI indicated that the audience could be allowed to go to the stadium in the second phase of the IPL in the UAE. Earlier, the Emirates Cricket Board has also talked about discussing the conduct of IPL with 60 percent of the audience. If the two agree, the audience will be able to enjoy the IPL matches by going to the stadium.
