David Warner viral video: Australian senior opener, captain of franchise Delhi Capitals (DC) for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, arrived in the national capital to join his team for high-octane T20 tournament. Taking note Warner's 'favorite off-the-field' hobby, especially his love for mega movie star Allu Arjun, Delhi Capitals posted a video on social media showcasing the stylish opener receiving grand welcome at the team hotel with 'Pushpa' theme song playing in the background. The video also shows Warner trying out some hindi words as he said, "Delhi, Main aa gaya hoon. Training to banti hai (I have arrived, Delhi. It is time to train)."

David Warner was appointed as captain of Delhi Capitals for IPL 2023 as their regular skipper Rishabh Pant is on road to recovery after suffering multiple injuries in a major car accident in December last year, and will miss this year's IPL.

Warner has previously captained the Delhi-based franchise, back then known as Delhi Daredevils, but found success as captain while leading Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), when in the 2016 IPL edition, he led SRH to a memorable title win. Later, in IPL 2021, he was dropped from the team due to poor form and his alleged rift with the team management. In IPL 2022, Warner started his new association with Delhi Capitals. The stylish opener is the highest run-scorer among overseas players in IPL history, with 5,881 runs to his name.
