Four-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winner Mahendra Singh Dhoni poked fun at U-19 World Cup winner Rajvardhan Hangargekar during a promotional event for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). As per revealed by Dhoni, Hangargekar took the longest to get ready for the fan meet, adding that no one should talk about the youngster's no-balls he bowled in CSK's first two matches as the audience burst into laughter. Hangargekar was acquired by CSK for INR 1.5 crore in the auction and is playing his debut season in world's richest T20 tournament.

"Good evening everyone. Very happy to be here. As Mahi Bhaiya said, Ki jitna jyada hum iss event ko fun kar sakte hai, acha hasi mazak mein rakh sakte hai, utna try karenge, aur let’s see," (Good evening, everyone. As Dhoni said, we can have fun and some laughter in this event, we will try to do that), Hangargekar said in a short speech.

"Basically bol raha hai koi iske no-ball ke baare mein baat nahi karega (Basically he is saying, no one will talk about his no balls)," said Dhoni in a comment that has gone viral.

Earlier, MS Dhoni had issued a clear warning to his bowlers, hinting that they'll have to play under a new captain if they keep bowling no balls. Notably, CSK bowlers had bowled quite a few no balls and gave extras in CSK's first two matches of the tournament.

"They'll have to bowl no no-balls or extra wides. Or they'll have to play under a new captain. It will be my second warning, and then I'll be off," said Dhoni.

Chennai Super Kings will go up against Rajasthan Royals in match number 17 of IPL 2023 on Wednesday (April 12) at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium.
