Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni has been nursing a knee injury throughout Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Multiple times during the tournament, Dhoni can be seen wearing an ice cap tied on his knee or with bandages. Ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Playoffs, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batting coach Michael Hussey provided a worrying update regarding Dhoni's fitness. Speaking during Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings IPL 2023 match mid-innings break, Hussey said Dhoni is not 100 percent at the moment due to his knee issues. However, Hussey asserted that the veteran is managing things well.

"His (MS Dhoni) knee isn't 100% at the moment, so he's managing himself, ying Update on coming in to bat in the last 2-3 overs. He isn't able to run as well as he did Dhoni Ahead during his heydays, but he's doing things right and hitting the ball really well," Hussey said.


Chennai Super Kings become 2nd team to qualify for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Playoffs 


Chennai Super Kings (CSK), led by MS Dhoni, defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) to confirm a berth in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Playoffs. This is for the record 12th time that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) made it to the final four by end of league stage matches, qualifying for IPL 2023 Playoffs.


Chennai Super Kings defeated Delhi Capitals by a huge margin of 77 runs in their IPL 2023 match on Sunday at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Batting first, CSK scored 223/3 in 20 overs. In reply, Delhi Capitals could manage 146/9, ending their IPL 2023 campaign with a defeat. 


CSK openers Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad shared 141-run stand for first wicket, hitting 12 fours and 10 sixes during their partnership. After this, fiery cameos from Shivam Dubey and Ravindra Jadeja powered CSK to 223 runs in their stipulated 20 overs.
