Like his father, Arjun will represent Mumbai Indians in the cash-rich T20 League. Arjun was the last player to be sold in this year's IPL auction.

However, MI buying Arjun in IPL Auction did not come as a surprise for some people on Twitter.

Here's how Twitter reacted:

Just a few days back, in a tournament organized by the Mumbai Cricket Association, Arjun Tendulkar first scored a brilliant half-century and later did wonders with the ball as well.

The 21-year-old first scored a brisk 71 off 31 balls against Islam Gymkhana Club, hitting a total of 8 sixes and 5 fours. Out of these 8 sixes, the young talented all-rounder hit 5 sixes in a single over.

Arjun also took 3 wickets while doing amazing work with the ball. Thanks to Arjun Tendulkar's performance, MIG Cricket Club defeated Islam Gymkhana by 194 runs.

Arjun Tendulkar has now been officially acquired by Mumbai Indians in IPL auction but he had already given a strong indication about joining MI, a day before the IPL 2021 auction.

Arjun had shared a photo of himself in the jersey of Mumbai Indians on social media, which had already clarified to some extent which team he could go to in the IPL auction.
