New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) former skipper Virat Kohli revealed the 2016 IPL final loss and team India's T20 World Cup semi-final loss against West Indies at Wankhede in the same year 'broke his heart'. Virat made this revelation in a video posted by RCB's official YouTube channel.
The year 2016 was one of the best years in Virat Kohli's cricketing career. During this, he scored plenty of runs for RCB in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and for team India in international cricket, but still, both RCB and team India failed to win the final under his captaincy.

Sunrisers Hyderabad had defeated Virat-led RCB in the IPL 2016 final, while during the 2016 T20 World Cup, West Indies defeated India in the semi-finals. These two defeats were heart-breaking for Virat Kohli.
“IPL final 2016 and that same year, 2016 World Cup semifinal at Wankhede against West Indies,” Virat Kohli said in the video when asked about the loses that broke his heart.
When asked about his happy memories, Virat said: “The last game that we played in 2016 against Delhi in Raipur. And then the very next qualifier, when AB played a gun knock and Iqbal was with him on the other end. The celebration after that game was the most special that I have ever experienced.”
Virat was also asked what he would do if he woke up as Cristiano Ronaldo one day, to which he said: “Cristiano Ronaldo! I would do a scan of my brain [if he was Ronaldo] and see where all that mental strength comes from (smiles).”
