New Delhi: Suryakumar Yadav's (52 runs off 35 balls) fiery knock with the bat helped the Indian team beat Western Australia Cricket Association XI by 13 runs on Monday in its first practice game in Perth ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. The Men in Blue are slated to play two official warm-up games against England and New Zealand organised by the ICC. Ahead of these two matches, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) organised two practice matches for team India against Western Australia (WA) XI in Perth.


Ahead of India vs Western Australia XI 1st practice match on Monday, former India skipper Virat Kohli was spotted signing autographs for fans in the stadium. The video on Kohli's noble gesture for fans went viral on social media. Notably, Virat, who is in superb form, was rested for Monday's warm up game as the team management wants to give young players a chance to shine and adapt to Australia weather, pitch conditions ahead of the mega event.






Talking about the match, The Indian team scored 158 for six in their stipulated 20 overs. In reply, WACA XI managed only 145 in their 20 overs.
