New Delhi: Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team will aim to bounce back in the home series against West Indies after a shambolic defeats against mighty South Africa. West Indies tour of India will kick off with an ODI game on February 6. The visitors are scheduled to tour India for a limited-overs series consisting of three ODIs and as many T20Is.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced India's 18-member squad for the ODI and T20 series against West Indies.
Senior opener Rohit Sharma, who missed India's tour to South Africa due to a hamstring injury, has regained full fitness and will be making his full-time captaincy debut next week against West Indies.
The selection committee has made a couple of changes to the Indian squad which toured the rainbow nation while multi-format players have been rested for Ind vs WI home series.
"KL Rahul will be available from 2nd ODI onwards. R Jadeja is undergoing his final stage of recovery post his knee injury and will not be available for the ODIs and T20Is. Axar Patel will be available for the T20Is," BCCI said in a tweet.
Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Shami have been rested from the series.

Keeping in mind the busy international calendar ahead and workload management, BCCI decided to rest star pace bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami. The pace duo featured in all ODIs and Tests against Proteas and that's why its highly important to give them the much-needed break.

BCCI announces revised venues for Ind vs SA Series
Few days back, BCCI had announced change in venues for the upcoming India vs West Indies white-ball series.
As per the change in venues announced by the BCCI via its official Twitter handle, India vs West Indies ODIs will now be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad and Ind vs WI T20Is will be played at Kolkata's Eden Gardens.
