Watch: 'Frustrated' Kieron Pollard's Reaction Goes Viral As Rohit Sharma Hits Kemar Roach For A Huge Six
Senior opener Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians teammate Kieron Pollard looked absolutely frustrated as his counterpart was taking the game away from West Indies.
New Delhi: West Indies had a horror outing against India in the first ODI at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. The visitors' top-order faced a major collapse and were bundled up for just 176, courtesy remarkable bowling spells from spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal (4/49) and Washington Sundar (3/30). The duo shared seven wickets between them.
West Indies' first innings total would have been much less, had all-rounder Jason Holder fought a lone battle, scoring 57, but Prasidh Krishna getting him caught out behind wickets meant the visitors did not play their 50 overs and were restricted to a paltry total against mighty Indians.
West Indies batters were finding it quite difficult to hit fours and especially sixes during their innings as the pitch at Ahmedabad had a lot of resistance to offer. However, this wasn't the case when India came out to chase 176 for the win.
Senior opener Rohit Sharma, playing his first-ever ODI game as team India's skipper, played some great well-timed strokes against Windies bowlers, all over the Narendra Modi Stadium.
As Rohit Sharma was on his way to his fifty, he played his trademark pull shot, timed it to perfection for a six over the stands. The Indian skipper's Mumbai Indians teammate Kieron Pollard looked absolutely frustrated as his counterpart was taking the game away from Windies.

Alzarri Joseph later did manage to get Rohit out for 60 off just 51 balls. The senior opener stitched a solid 84 run stand alongside Ishan Kishan to put the hosts in a commanding position.
India faced a bit of a wobble as the hosts lost quick four wickets for just 10 runs, even after getting a good start from openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan. However, debutant Deepak Hooda and Suryakumar Yadav hanged around to wrap things up nicely.
