Virat Kohli drops catch: Senior spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and fans all across the world were left stunned when former India skipper Virat Kohli left an absolute sitter during India vs South Africa T20 World Cup 2022 match on Sunday.
Chasing 134 for the win, South African batters were blown away by Arshdeep Singh's pace, losing early wickets, after which Aiden Markram steadied his team's innings with David Miller and was batting really well during the middle overs. With the run-rate piling up, Markaram thought of changing gears and to up the scoring rate he played a lofty stroke towards deep mid-wicket off Ashwin's over. Virat Kohli was standing right under the spot where the ball was to land but shockingly, he dropped a dolly to give the South African batter a lifeline.
Neither R Ashwin nor a jam-packed Perth Stadium could believe what they had just witnessed. Kohli, who has taken some jaw-dropping catches in his career, dropped an easy catch and that too at a time when India were desperately looking for a breakthrough.
