New Delhi: Pakistan women's cricket team lost their World Cup match against arch-rivals India, but captain of the 'girls in green', Bismah Maroof, managed to set the internet abuzz by showing her immense love and dedication for the sport. During the IND-W vs PAK-W ICC Women’s World Cup match, Maroof was spotted arriving at the stadium with her six-month-old daughter Fatima in her arms.

After the Ind-W vs Pak-W World Cup match on Monday, Smriti Mandhana posted a heartfelt note for Maroof as she hailed the Pakistan skipper for inspiring the women cricketers. In just 6 months, after becoming a mother, Maroof returned to playing international cricket.
On her Instagram story, Mandhana wrote, "Coming back post pregnancy in 6 months and playing international cricket is so inspiring. @bismahmaroof setting an example for sportswoman across the globe. Lots of love to baby Fatima from India and I hope she picks the bat just like you because lefties are special."
As per media reports in Pakistan, Maroof was thinking about retiring from cricket due to her pregnancy but she ultimately decided to continue playing the sport. She has become an inspiration not only for women in Pakistan and all over the world.
