NEW DELHI: Pakistan's 18-year-old left-arm pacer Saheen Shah Afridi made his debut against Afghanistan on Friday, where his teammates had dropped three catches off his bowling. Now, on Sunday, when Shaheen was bowling his third over against India, another easy catch was dropped off his bowling, this time by Imam-ul-Haq. Shaheen surprised Rohit Sharma with a good length ball which stopped on him as he tried to drive it through the covers. But Imam-ul-Haq, who was positioned at extra cover, could not hold on to the ball and dropped an easy chest-high catch. Feeling sad for the unlucky bowler, Twitter users said the Pakistani fielders didn't drop catches but Shaheen Afridi's confidence. "In first 13 overs of his ODI career, Shaheen Afridi has 4 catches dropped off his bowling. Spare a thought for this 18 years old," Cricket Statistician and Journalist Mazhar Arshad wrote. "That's not how you boost the morale of a young bowler in your team. Come on Pakistani fielders, you need to make up to Shaheen Afridi. You have already spilled four catches off his bowling since previous match. He deserves better," another user said.
