Delhi Police Constable Crushed To Death By 'Liquor Smuggler', Dragged For 10 Metres On Road
The incident took place around 2.15 am when Sandeep had gone for on-duty beat patrolling on his bike. Police said prima facie, it looks like road rage.
A Delhi Police Constable was killed by a speeding car when he asked the driver to stop during a patrolling duty in Delhi's Nangloi area in the early hours of Sunday. The car dragged the 30-year-old constable, identified as Sandeep, for 10 meters before another car hit him. The constable suffered severe head injuries in the accident. Some reports allege that one of the occupants in the car was a liquor smuggler.
There was probably a verbal exchange between him and the driver, police said. "When he was taking a left turn on Veena Enclave and crossed another four-wheeler, he asked them to stop. But then the car hit him and dragged him for 10 meters. Prima facie, it looks like road rage but once the accused is apprehended we will know further...," Jimmy Chiram, DCP outer Delhi Police, said.
