India vs Pakistan Asia Cup Super 4 match: Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar shared his opinion on Rohit Sharma's captaincy and dip in batting form ahead of high-octane India vs Pakistan Asia Cup Super 4 match at Dubai International cricket stadium. Shoaib Akhtar, who till now holds the record of bowling the fastest ball in the history of cricket, never shies away from expressing his views. The bowling great has now given a pretty bold statement on Rohit Sharma's form ahead of the India-Pakistan Asia Cup Super 4 fixture. Rohit, popularly known as HITMAN, is yet to play an explosive knock for his team.

Rohit Sharma, the 2nd highest run-scorer in T20 cricket history, scored 12 off 18 balls in India's match against Pakistan. In India's second match against Hong Kong, the senior opener scored 21 off 13 balls but failed to convert his good start to a bigger inning.

Speaking on his YouTube channel ahead of Ind vs Pak Asia Cup Super 4 match, Akhtar claimed that all-rounder Hardik Pandya is a 'powerful contender' to lead India in T20 cricket.

"I think Rohit Sharma is stuck as a captain. He doesn’t seem to be enjoying it, and he is taking a lot of pressure, so he is out of form. Hardik Pandya is a significant factor after he recovered from a back injury. He guided his team [Gujarat Titans] to IPL 2022 trophy as captain, and he is a powerful contender to be captain for T20I,” Akhtar said.
