IND vs NZ, 1st T20I LIVE UPDATES: 'Men In Blue' To Lock Horns With Kiwis In Series Opener At Auckland

Background

New Delhi: High on confidence after their emphatic series win over Australia, Virat Kohli-led team India will seek a blueprint to their ICC T20 World Cup preparations when they take on New Zealand in the first T20 international of the five-match series at the Eden Park in Auckland on Friday.

India's World Cup dreams were dashed at the hands of the Black Caps  in the semi-final last July where they suffered a crushing defeat in Manchester. With the loss still fresh in the minds of die-hard India fans, there could be no better revenge for Virat Kohli's men than beating the Black Caps in their own backyard. However, Kohli has already insisted that the team is not thinking about revenge.

Squads:

India: Virat Kohli (capt), Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul (wk), Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Navdeep Saini, Washington Sundar

New Zealand: Kane Williamson (capt), Martin Guptill, Ross Taylor, Scott Kuggeleijn, Colin Munro, Colin de Grandhomme, Tom Bruce, Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner, Tim Seifert (wk), Hamish Bennett, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, Blair Tickner
