New Delhi: England announced the 15-man squad for India vs England 3rd Test on Wednesday evening. The hosts have included Mark Wood in the team despite his injury. England has included David Malan and Saqib Mahmood for Ind vs Eng 4rd Test and dropped Dom Sibley, Jack Leach, Zack Crawley from the team.
For the last two years, 33-year-old Malan has been the main player of England's T20 team. He is currently the number one T20 batsman in the world. Malan is returning to the Test team after three years. He last participated in the Test series against India in the year 2018 and was dropped after the Edgbaston Test due to poor form.
Sibley's performance in ongoing Ind vs Eng Test series was very poor. His highest score in four innings was 28. Ollie Pope and Dan Lawrence have made their way into the team. The third Test of the five-Test series between India and England will be played in Leeds from August 25. India has taken a 1-0 lead in the five-match series against England after winning the Lord's Test by 151 runs. The first test resulted in a draw.
The opening batting was a cause of concern for team England in the first two matches. With Malan included in the team, will England look to be more aggressive in the third Test match of the series?
