India vs Bangladesh: Team India's batting megastar Virat Kohli, who has been in super form in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022, on Monday, lashed out at 'ridiculous fanaticism', which saw a fan violating his privacy by shooting a video of his hotel room and making it public. A livid Kohli did not mince words while expressing how unhappy he was with the privacy breach and re-shared the video via his Instagram account. After Kohli raised the issue, hotel Crown Perth issued an apology, saying that the individuals involved in this matter were stood down and removed from the Crown account.
On the eve of India vs Bangladesh T20 World Cup match, team India head coach Rahul Dravid did touch upon the things that transpired, calling the incident 'disappointing'.
"It was disappointing, it's not very comfortable for anyone, let alone Virat. We have flagged it with the relevant authorities, and they have taken action. Hopefully, incidents like this won't happen in the future and hopefully, people are a lot more careful. That's (hotel room) the one place you feel you are away from the prying eyes and without the media glare, without the photographers and all of these that the players have to deal with. When that's taken away, it's not really a nice feeling," Dravid said in the pre-match press conference in Adelaide on Tuesday.
