India At Paavo Nurmi Games 2024: Neeraj Chopra creates history by winning a historic gold medal in Men's Javelin Throw event at the Paavo Nurmi Games 2024. The event is being held in Turku, Finland and Neeraj Chopra has successfully upgraded the colour of his medal, as he goes one better than what he managed in 2022 (silver medal), and with this, Neeraj Chopra has truly announced his preparation for gold medal contention at the Paris Olympics 2024.

Neeraj Chopra has done it all in the sport, be it Olympics, Asian Games, Dimaond League, Commonwealth Games. Paavo Nurmi Games was one event that was off the checklist of the Indian legend but with his gold at the event in 2024, the event is now successfully ticked. Neeraj Chopra made a name for himself after becoming the first ever individual gold medallist for India at the Olympics (a feat he achieved in Men's Javelin Throw event at Tokyo 2020 Olympics), and the momentum has never died ever since.

The 25-year old is already amongst the greatest Indian athletes country has ever produced and can arguably cement his legacy as the greatest Indian athlete ever by winning another medal at Paris Olympics 2024. Given the form he is in, India can surely expect their flag to be raised high and one of their own to be at the summit of the podium.
