India Cricketers Relive 2011 World Cup Win On Social Media

Some players who were part of that 2011 World Cup-winning team, took to Twitter to talk about the historic occasion

New Delhi: It was today on April 2nd in the year 2011 when skipper MS Dhoni 'finished off in style' with a six to help team India lift the World Cup trophy for the second time. Chasing a 275-run target for India, it was opener Gautam Gambhir and finisher M.S. Dhoni's heroic knocks that powered the home side to a six-wicket win with just 10 balls remaining. While many players from the 2011 World Cup-winning team have retired, current skipper Virat Kohli is the only player who remains a regular in the Indian cricket team. Some players who were part of that World Cup-winning team, took to Twitter to talk about the historic occasion. "World Cup winner 2011.what a great day it was for Whole India .proud moment (sic.)" said spinner Harbhajan Singh and tagged his team member of that team and then coach Gary Kirsten too, in his post.
