New Delhi: Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar shared his thoughts on team India's 10-wicket loss against England in T20 World Cup 2022 semi-final. He pointed out that Indian batters posted a low total at 'batters-friendly' Adelaide pitch, which helped England chase down the target easily, and that the Indian bowlers were unsuccessful in picking wickets. However, the 'Master Blaster' urged fans to support team India, saying there are always ups and downs in the game and it cannot be like 'victory is ours and loses are there's'.

"I know that the semi-finals against England was very disappointing. Let's accept that we did not put up a good total on the board. It was a tough game for us, a bad and disappointing defeat. We have been World number 1 T-20 side as well," Sachin Tendulkar told news agency ANI.

Sachin also urged everyone to not judge team India on the basis of T20 World Cup performance, adding that the Men in Blue reached the Number 1 spot in ICC Men's T20 ranking, something that does not happen overnight.

"To get to that Number 1 spot, it does not happen overnight. Let us not judge our team on the basis of this performance," said Tendulkar.

"Players also did not want to go out and fail. In sports, these ups and downs are there. We have to be in it together," he added.
