New Delhi: Pakistan captain Babar Azam has been rewarded for his remarkable batting performance in the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021. The Pakistani skipper has scored 198 runs in four innings of T20 World Cup 2021 with an awesome strike rate of 124.52 and a jaw-dropping average of 66. Back in January 2018, Babar had become the number one batsman in the ICC T20 rankings. Indian batsman Rohit Sharma has moved up a place to 23rd, while pacer Jasprit Bumrah has jumped 10 places to be ranked 24th.

Apart from Babar, England's star batsman Jos Buttler, who scored T20 WC 2021's first century with 214 runs, jumped 14 places to the ninth spot.  Australia's Aaron Finch moved to number three spot with 733 points. Among other batsmen, Jason Roy moved up five places to number 14, David Miller is at number 33 while Temba Bavuma at number 52.

Talking about ICC T20 rankings for bowlers, Sri Lankan leg-spinner Wanindu Hasrangal has bagged the number one spot in the bowlers' list for the first time in his career after taking three wickets each against South Africa and England in the ongoing World Cup. Hasaranga dethroned South Africa's Tabrez Shamsi to secure the top spot. Hasranga and Shamsi are followed by England's Adil Rashid and Afghanistan's Rashid Khan.
