Australia's Inimitable Ellyse Perry Sweeps Top Honours At ICC Awards

The ICC on Monday selected the best players of the decade for their outstanding performance in the last ten years. In this, female and male players were awarded separately. On Sunday, the ICC selected teams for the decade in all three formats (Tests, ODI, T20I). On Monday, they announced the individual awards. Australian players dominated ICC Awards for women's cricket. Australian women cricket team's star all-rounder, Ellyse Perry, was selected not only for ODIs but also as the best T20 cricketer of the decade. In addition, she was also voted the best female cricket of the decade.

Ellyse Perry made her ODI debut against New Zealand in Darwin at the age of 16 years and 8 months on 22 July 2007. With this, she became the youngest cricketer, male or female, to debut for Australia. In his first match, she took 2 wickets for 37 runs in eight overs. On 15 February 2008, at the age of 17 years and 3 months, she became Australia's first Test cricketer to make her youngest test debut. In this match, she scored 21 runs in 77 balls, which included two fours.
