Paris Olympics 2024: The Indian men's hockey team arrived in Paris on July 20 (Saturday), with just five days left before the 2024 Paris Olympics officially begins. Hockey India posted a video on social media showing the team arriving at the Paris airport, marking the start of India's Olympic journey and the team's quest for their first gold medal in 44 years, with the last one being in Moscow Olympics 1980.

At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, India ended a 41-year wait for an Olympic hockey medal by defeating Germany 5-4 in the bronze medal match. With renewed confidence and the bronze medal from Tokyo as motivation, the Indian team is now aiming to improve on their previous performance and secure a medal of a different colour. The official X handle of Hockey India posted a photo of the Indian Hockey Team after they landed in the French capitals for the Paris Games.
