ENG vs WI 2nd Test: In the ongoing England vs West Indies 2nd Test match at Trent Bridge, West Indies pacer Shamar Joseph hit a massive six that broke a few tiles in the stadium. The falling tiles landed on fans sitting below in the stands. On Day 3 of the match, Joseph played a brilliant cameo helping his side surpass the hosts' first-inning score. Joseph scored 33 runs, including five boundaries and two sixes.
The incident occurred during the 107th over when Joseph, batting at number 11, decided to take the attack to the young England bowler Gus Atkinson. Joseph pulled Atkinson over deep mid-wicket on his second delivery for a maximum, clearly signalling his intentions. He then launched another short delivery towards deep backward square leg for a gigantic six. Joseph timed the ball perfectly, sending it deep into the stands and hitting the roof of one of the boxes, causing tiles to fall on the crowd below. Thankfully, none of the fans were hurt by Joseph's mighty hit.

West Indies Fight Back Strongly But England Still On Top
In reply to England's first innings total of 416 runs, West Indies launched a strong counterattack, with Kavem Hodge scoring 120 runs on the second day of the 2nd IND vs ENG Test. Despite being reduced to 386 for 9, a vital 71-run last-wicket partnership between Joseph and wicketkeeper-batter Joshua Da Silva boosted their score.
Joseph was eventually dismissed for 33 off 27 balls, which included five fours and two sixes, while Da Silva remained unbeaten on 82 off 122 balls, hitting 10 fours and three sixes. West Indies ended their first innings with a total of 457 runs, gaining a lead of 41 runs.
However, England finished the day on top as they are 248-3 in 51 overs, leading by 207 runs. Harry Brook (71*) and Joe Root (37*) will continue batting for England on day four as they aim to strengthen their lead even further.
