Paris Saint-Germain (PSG)'s striker, Kylian Mbappe has reportedly agreed to join the Spanish club - Real Madrid for the next season reported German outlet Blind.

This move is likely to double Mbappe's salary and increase it to £41.5m-a-year. The French World Cup winner is set to earn double of what he is earning right now at PSG.

The 23-year old is set to become a free agent this summer and thus, would be pushing for his move to Los Blancos.

In October 2021, Mbappe was talking in an interview with RMC Sport where he accepted that he had asked for a transfer away from PSG. “I asked to leave Paris Saint-Germain, yes. It was in July and because from the moment I didn't want to extend the contract, I wanted the club to receive a transfer fee to have a quality replacement," he told RMC Sport.

Mbappe's reported salary break-up would pay him £800,000-per-week.

“Personally, I didn't really appreciate Paris Saint-Germain saying 'He is asking to leave in the last week of August…' because that is wrong. It made me feel like a theif. I informed them early, at the end of July," Mbappe said in the interview.

Mbappe's current deal with PSG expires in 2022 and thus, Madrid is trying to negotiate a deal with the Paris-based club. After 2022, Mbappe can go as a free agent.
