FC Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has made a huge U-turn on his future, as the Spaniard commits himself for one more year at the club as their manager. Here are the details.
FC Barcelona head coach, Xavi Hernandez, is set to stay and remain as head coach of FC Barcelona until the expiration of the contract (June 2025). The legendary former FC Barcelona midfielder will, as reported by Italian football journalist and transfer guru — Fabrizio Romano, honour his contract after talks with club President, Joan Laporta. The Spaniard had previously made it evidently clear that he won't be staying as the head coach of the Blaugrana beyond the end of the season, and that a managerial change will follow up for the 2024/25 season.

However, given the fact that Xavi has done a tremendous job during the most adverse times for the club, it was a no-brainer that the club would seek the services of the 44-year old.
"Xavi will stay, he’s really happy and excited. We’ve never opened talks for any other coach. Deco trusts Xavi, it’s guaranteed,” said Barcelona vice-president, Rafa Yuste.
The meeting took place at Joan Laporta's house on Wednesday and the vice-president of the club, Rafa Yuste, made the announcement in a conversation with the reporters present outside the house, as reported by The Guardian.
