'We Trust Him': Man United Coach Erik Ten Hag Insists Trust Upon Hojlund Amidst Troubled Season
Erik Ten Hag reflected the hunger Hojlund possess and his drive to succeed is admirable. Read below.
Premier League 2023-24: The Premier League 2023-24 season has been a drastic one for the Red Devils as Manchester United are languishing at sixth, and sit behind league leaders Liverpool by 13 points. The Old Trafford has seen many glorious seasons and decades of footballing brilliance and trophy-laden periods but all of them came under the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson, who retired from managerial duties in 2013 and United has never been the same ever since.
The Erik Ten Hag Era!
Erik Ten Hag's arrival from Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam in 2022 was a sign that United are finally hiring a worthy manager meant to guide the club in a longer run but drastic performances, alongsides dressing room feuds, and the most famous rift of them being with the prodigal son of Old Trafford, Cristiano Ronaldo, whose contract was then terminated after the Portuguese went public about his problems at the club, in an interview with Piers Morgan.
Inspite of the troubled past 18 months at the legendary club, Erik Ten Hag still stands tall as his disciplinary measures have often been lauded and players have constantly been reminded that no individual stands bigger than the club and those measures have helped some players gain confidence and one of them is new signing Rasmus Hojlund.
The striker, who was signed in the summer transfer window of 2023 from Atalanta, was decent in the UEFA Champions League for Red Devils but it took him almost end of the year to score his first Premier League goal, which came in a memorable coemback victory as United went from two goals down to win the match 3-2.
Now that he is scoring also shows how a good manager can turn an out of rhythm player into a beast and Erik Ten Hag is doing the same with the 21-year old Danish international.

"He gets angry, mad when he's not scoring but also that's why we selected him. He has the resilience and the calmness, and to perform under that stress".
"He hasn’t had any moment when he wanted to give up". pic.twitter.com/VyaXpfW6Yh
