Euro 2024 Team of the Tournament: After an entertaining month of European national football in Germany that saw 24 sides battle it out for continental supremacy, it is Spain who walk out with the crown and they deserved it thoroughly. Spain defeated England in the final to win Euro 2024 and in the process, won a record 4th Euro championship, and after the conclusion of the action, UEFA have now announced the Team of the Tournament.

As expectedly, Spain dominated the 'XI' with 6 players featuring in the form of Marc Cucurella, Rodri, Dani Olmo, Fabian Ruiz, Lamine Yamal, and Nico Williams. The likes of Jude Bellingham and Florian Wirtz missed out by a whisker, as Spain were too good for any other country's player to even get a feature in the side.

GK: Mike Maignan (France): Mike Maignan's run at Euro 2024 ended in semi finals, as France were eliminated by Spain. The AC Milan goalkeeper produced 4 clean sheets and produced an impressive 16 saves throughout the tournament.

The Chelsea player's only goal contribution in the tournament was the most decisive one, as his excellent cross was met by Mikel Oyarzabal, who toe-poked in his effort past Jordan Pickford to score the winner for Spain in the Final.

CM: Rodri (Spain): Rodri was awarded the Player of the Tournament and he was by far the best player in every match he played. Rodri scored one goal in the tournament, which came against Georgia in a crucial situation. Rodri was a difference-maker in every game he played, as his tackles, passing, vision, and recoveries were astonishing. 41 recoveries, 31 duels won, 8 tackles won, 93.3% successful passing rate just sums up the fact that Rodri was indeed, world class.

CM: Fabian Ruiz (Spain): Fabian Ruiz was coming off a not-so-impressive season with PSG, but his antics at Euro 2024 have changed his career and his market value has sky-rocketed. The PSG midfielder scored two goals and provided two assists throughout the tournament, and his most memorable moment came against Germany, where his magical feet and dribbling saw him dribble past 3 players, who were charging on him from the same direction, and his work of art left everyone in awe. 

CM: Dani Olmo (Spain): Dani Olmo always steps up for Spain in major tournaments and the attacking midfielder made amends for his missed penalty in the Nations League final against France by scoring the winning goal against the very same opposition to oust them out of Euro 2024. The RB Leipzig player was amongst the top scorers of the tournament with 3 goals, and even provided two assists in Spain's Euro 2024 triumphant campaign.

RW: Lamine Yamal (Spain): Lamine Yamal has the world at his feet, and the Spanish winger is the biggest story of Euro 2024. The FC Barcelona winger won the 'Young Player of the Tournament' award and was the top assist provider of the tournament with 4 assists. The 17-year old teenage sensation also managed to score a goal in what was a record-shattering tournament for him.

ST: Jamal Musiala (Germany): Jamal Musiala was the poster boy of this tournament before Lamine Yamal's grand arrival at the biggest stage. The FC Bayern attacking midfielder played as a striker at Euro 2024 and was amongst the top scorers of the tournament with 3 goals. The mesmerising dribbler also completed 13 successful dribbles at the tournament, before Germany's elimination in the quarter final stage at the hands of Spain.

LW: Nico Williams (Spain): Nico Williams stepped up immensely well when the world had their eyes set on him, as the Athletic Bilbao winger came with a chip on his shoulder. Nico Williams is the younger brother of Inaki Williams, and was tipped to be Spain's driving force in the new era of their football, and boy did he deliver! The 22-year old lit the stage in the epic final by scoring a beautiful goal on the counter attack and managed 2 goals and 1 assist throughout the tournament.
